The South Carolina Middle School Association Journal is a peer-reviewed journal that highlights research-based practices that improve middle schools and the learning that occurs within and outside of the classroom. Readers of this journal are generally teachers, administrators, and other educators who are interested in the issues that young adolescents and educators of those individuals face. The South Carolina Middle School Association Journal is published once a year in an online format. The acceptance rate for the 2009 issue was 54%.
